Während viele Entwickler den Schritt zur Anpassung ihrer Produkte an den P3D V6 nicht gegangen sind, war Active Sky mit das erste Add-on, welches den neuen Lockheed Martin Sim unterstütze. Anfänglich als offene Beta angeboten, hat Hifi Sim nun den offiziellen Release Kandidaten vorgestellt.
ActiveSky für P3D unterstützt komplett die neue Licht- und Wetterengine der Version 6. Interessierte Nutzer müssen allerdings etwas in die Tasche greifen, denn in den bekannten Webshops werden über 40 € für das Wetterprogramm aufgerufen. Es ist nicht ersichtlich, dass es Upgrade Möglichkeiten zu einem reduziertem Preis gibt.

Ich verstehe nicht was die noch mit P3D V6 wollen. Es gibt X-Plane und MSFS, P3D ist hoffnungslos unterlegen.

Das ist einfach Erhaltungstrieb von HiFi Simulations. Durch die nicht vorhandene (und bisher nicht geplante) Schnittstelle zur Wetterengine ist die wirtschaftliche Lage äußerst kritisch geworden. Da klammert man sich natürlich an jeden Strohhalm. Vorallem da die Adaption von ActiveSky von V5 auf V6 nicht so extrem viel Aufwand sein dürfte.
